STUART D. GLADSTEIN

Mr. Gladstein opened the accounting offices of Gladstein CPA in April 2000. He brings to the forensic accounting firm 30 years of experience in providing accounting services for measurement of damages, business valuations and litigation support services, including expert witness testimony. Testimony has been provided for defendants and plaintiffs on state and federal levels.
Mr. Gladstein had been a partner in the Los Angeles office of RGL Gallagher LLP for 3 years before founding his own company. Prior to his association with RGL Gallagher LLP, he was a partner at Campos & Stratis LLP for 15 years.
Professional Experience
Mr. Gladstein has provided services to insurance companies, attorneys, private and publicly held companies and individuals to measure damages in a wide range of cases concerning economic loss for individuals and businesses. Causes of loss include fraud, fidelity, inventory loss through theft, damage or mysterious disappearance, loss of buildings due to fires, earthquakes or other natural disasters, jewelry theft, explosion, earth settlement, water damages, infestation, breach of contract, personal injury, wrongful death, wrongful termination, vandalism, arson and product defects.
Types of losses that Mr. Gladstein had measured include business interruption/gross earnings for virtually all types of businesses, in-sight and out-of-sight inventory losses, loss of earnings for individuals, employee theft of inventory or funds, extra operating expenses, building reconstruction, business valuations, jewelry losses and loss of rents.
In addition to calculations of losses, Mr. Gladstein has provided services in the investigation of fraud and financial motive for arson cases. He has also prepared reports detailing his findings, assisted parties in settlement negotiations, acted as an appraiser in appraisal proceedings, prepared document requests and trial exhibits and given numerous presentations concerning a measurement of financial damages.
Professional Affiliations/Activities
Mr. Gladstein is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants_Litigation Consulting Services Committee, and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Gladstein has served as a guest speaker and conducted seminars on the measurement of damages related to business interruption, loss of earning and valuation of lost inventory, fraud and arson.
Educational Background
Mr. Gladstein earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He attained his CPA certificate in 1981 and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
